You have to seize the opportunity when it presents itself. Fabio Scherer did just that in the third and final race of the DTM and ADAC GT Masters at the Lausitzring. After a thunderstorm hit shortly before the start, the 16-year-old from central Switzerland had slicks fitted to the small Dallara-Abarth F4 on the advice of his race engineer. As it increasingly dried out, Fabio Scherer moved up from the midfield to the leading group, which had initially dictated the pace with rain tires.
Fabio Scherer overtook the leader on the penultimate lap to clinch his first ADAC Formula 4 victory - it was also the first for Jenzer Motorsport in its second year in Germany. "Fabio did a really great job. He is an absolute rookie and, unlike many others, didn't make any mistakes in the difficult conditions," team boss Andras Jenzer expressed in praise. "Now it has paid off that we also drove with him in Italy and were able to practice there in similar conditions in the races. He has put this experience to brilliant use, and that's something to build on."

Double lead in the Italian F4 Championship
In Italy, Jenzer's spearhead Marcos Siebert has claimed as many victories in three events and scored points in all nine rounds. Because his strongest opponent Mick Schumacher, who is also fighting for the title in Germany, was absent in Adria, the Argentine clearly leads the standings with a 40-point advantage - which equates to one victory and one third place. Jenzer Motorsport is also ahead in the team standings: "This will be a tough battle between Mick and Marcos for the championship, as strike results will still be deducted. So far they've had some great duels with some hairy moments, but it's always been fair. That's what makes winning fun."
