The pair of fast brothers, who have been competing with Lamborghini since this year, still had a score to settle. After a technical defect cost them a podium finish at the 24 Hours of Dubai, a lack of fuel ruined a possible victory at Daytona.

At the guest race in Tuscany, however, it should now be enough for the first podium finish of the season. But the road to third place was anything but easy. Due to a fire during refueling, Mark and Rolf Ineichen and their teammates Adrian Amstutz and Christian Engelhart lost a lot of time.

The advantage gained from pole position was thus gone. But the German-Swiss quartet didn't let themselves get rattled and shone with a strong chase to catch up. The Lamborghini team was five laps behind the winning Renault.

After 341 laps completed, Hofor-Racing finished the race in second position. The Swiss team thus followed up its fourth-place finish at the Dubai 24 Hours in January.
