Motorsport: First GT3 points for Patric Niederhauser

Strong performance: Patric Niederhauser and Daniel Zampieri's Huracán was the fastest Lamborghini at the Blancpain Series opener.

In 2016, "Nidi" will contest all ten Blancpain GT Series sprint and endurance races as an official Lamborghini Junior, as well as the majority of the ADAC GT Masters rounds in a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 from Attempto Racing. At the season opener for the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup, whose events consist of the qualifying race on Saturday and the main race on Sunday over one hour each with driver changes, Patric Niederhauser and Daniel Zampieri were the fastest of the six Lamborghini teams in Misano. As 18th of 39 teams, they turned the third fastest race lap overall in the qualifying race. On Sunday, they finished tenth, the best-placed Huracán drivers, and scored their first championship point. Patric Niederhauser: "Considering the level of the championship with over two dozen factory drivers on the grid, I'm satisfied with the result as an actual GT3 rookie, especially since we have to carry 30 kilos more ballast in the car than the victorious Audi R8."

Convincing: Lamborghini junior Patric Niederhauser clearly showed at the start of the season what can be expected from him in the future.
