Motorsport: Victories at last for Thomas Amweg
Sandro Zeller was unbeatable in the two Formula 3 races at Hockenheim, even by the strongest Italians. Thomas Amweg finally scored his first victories in the sports cars. It's not as if Sandro Zeller had no opponents. And yet he was in a class of his own in his Dallara 308-Mercedes at rounds 7 and 8 of the Remus Formula 3 Cup at Hockenheim. With the participants from the Italian F2 Trophy, there was a field of 20 Formula 3 race cars. The driver from Zurich already outpaced all of them by 1.6 seconds and more in practice. In both races over 15 and 16 laps on the GP circuit, he distanced second-placed Italian Andrea Fontana in a Dallara 308-VW by 7 and 11 seconds respectively.
Meanwhile, Sandro Zeller's direct opponents in the title fight were battling it out with the Italians for positions. On both occasions, the always amazing Kurt Böhlen in the Dallara 308-Opel clearly kept the upper hand over Paolo Brajnik (Dallara 308-VW) to finish fourth overall. Marcel Tobler in the second Jo Zeller Racing car only classified 7th and 8th. Böhlen thus also edged out Marcel Tobler in second place in the Swiss Formula 3 Cup and third in the Remus Cup behind Paolo Brajnik. With seven wins in eight races - six are still to come - nobody doubts Sandro Zeller's title win, which he can theoretically secure as early as next weekend at the Lausitzring.

What lasts long finally becomes good
In the Sports Car Challenge, Turi Breitenmoser, driving a new PRC-Ford F1 and still bursting with energy at 65, celebrated two second places overall behind Siegmar Pfeifer (D) in the Norma-BMW. In Division 2, there was nothing to shake Thomas Amweg's two wins. Until then, the man from Aargau struggled with the technology of the PRC-Honda, so that he was never able to show his skills shown in the Formula 3 race car with the two-liter sports car before. Only in the first race, Simon Stoller also managed a third place in Division 2 despite shifting problems in the PRC-Honda. Thus, all three Swiss from the Pedrazza Racing Cars Austria team, whose boss, Walter Pedrazza, organizes the series, were able to enjoy podium finishes.
