Classic motorcycles: On average, significantly higher prices are paid for used vehicles.

The comparison service comparis.ch has taken a closer look at the development of prices, supply and demand in its own online motorcycle marketplace - which includes the six largest providers. It found that despite the euro crisis, prices for second-hand bikes have risen by 700 francs. Manuela Rimlinger, media spokesperson at comparis.ch: "As new registrations rose so much in 2015, it can be assumed that new vehicles were preferred to used bikes. This is due to the euro discounts and the low prices abroad."

What is particularly interesting in this context is the fact that prices for used cars have risen over the same period. Manuela Rimlinger: "It can be assumed that the owners of older vehicles are not prepared to pass on a discount they were not granted at the time."
