The wait will soon be over for all ravenous bikers, because from February 18 to 21, 2016, the SWISS-MOTO motorcycle, scooter and tuning show will open the new season with a firework display of spectacular accompanying events and, of course, present the latest innovations from well-known brands. The Swiss-Custom customizing and tuning show celebrates the works of art that have been built up over long nights with great attention to detail. In addition to internationally known bike tuners, backyard workshops are sprouting up everywhere. With their creative and unusual ideas, they are setting new trends and making customizing and tuning a hot topic everywhere. The new Swiss-Custom Backyard platform puts six of them in the spotlight, including the wild boys from Young Guns Speedshop, the down-to-earth screwdrivers and specialists from old, English bikes MC Black Shadows, and Tom Mosimann from GS Mashin.
The legendary motorcycles of the wild 70s and 80s are coming into vintage age. That is why the Friends of Old Motorcycles (FAM - AMA - AMV) dedicate a special exhibition to this species with twelve models of well-known brands from 1968 to 1986, which were very sought after at the time.
Things get tough in the offroad arena
Real rocks and trees flank the fair's off-road arena, where cross, sidecar, trial, quad and enduro racing all the way to the Dakar Rally will be the order of the day. Prominent guests such as Swiss MXGP star Jeremy Seewer, the two trial pros Noé Pretalli from Switzerland and Jack Sheppard from England, enduro champion Christophe Robert and sidecar world champion Daniel Willemsen from Holland will be showing their sport up close and signing autographs.
A large cinema with spectacular short films and unique travel presentations on the subject of off-road creates the appropriate atmosphere. Admission to the fair costs 22 francs, from 6 p.m. 12 francs. SWISS-MOTO takes place in the halls of Messe Zürich in Oerlikon.
