Land Rover: Bowler builds Defender for the Rally Series 🎥
OFFROAD The specialists at Bowler, who specialize in building off-road vehicles for rally use, are preparing competition vehicles based on the Defender 90 P300 for the Defender Rally Series in the UK.
This year, the new Land Rover Defender celebrated its premiere as a rally vehicle in the UK. Now the off-roader is looking to build on its sporting success with the Defender Rally Series, which will be held as a British championship in 2023 with nine competitions.
The Jaguar Land Rover business unit Bowler is responsible for the racing series. The company prepares the rally vehicles based on production models for twelve teams and provides all the service around the races.
That's why the Defender Rally Series is just as suitable for professionals as it is for beginners who want to take their first steps in motorsport. In the current year, the rally series operated as the Tata Elxsi Bowler Defender Challenge - and was an instant success.
Factory support for pilots and teams
The Defender Rally Series 2023 now aims to provide even better opportunities for participants and pave the way for them to compete in major rally raid events. Bowler will provide factory support for the drivers and their teams - right down to training and acquiring the necessary licenses for competitions. The British championship with the Defender rally racers will provide a real racing and team atmosphere at every event next year.
The professional presence of Bowler specialists is evident, for example, in the supply of spare parts on site. Added to this are amenities such as a separate area for team hospitality, which forms its own paddock and is emblematic of Bowler's commitment to the sport.
