The Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 is an acoustic and visual feast, as the video from DCPcars proves.
Radical aerodynamic improvements and the uncompromising design penned by Lamborghini Centro Stile make the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 the most powerful race car to date in the one-make championship, which will enter its 13th season in 2021.
500 Huracán as the next target
Since 2009, 950 drivers have participated in the Super Trofeo, completing more than 310 hours of racing on the world's most prestigious circuits.
Maurizio Reggiani, Chief Technical Officer: "The Super Trofeo offers the ideal opportunity to put the technical and aerodynamic solutions of our road and GT cars through their paces. With the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, we have taken another significant step forward. In April 2021, we celebrated the 400th Huracán race car, and with the Super Trofeo EVO2 we aim to crack the 500 mark in a few years."
Foretaste of the next series models
Aerodynamics and design are the areas on which Squadra Corse and Centro Stile have focused most. Aesthetically, the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 takes the design of its predecessors to the extreme and forges ahead with styling elements that will be incorporated into road cars in the years to come.
The radically modified front end features new, high-performance full-LED headlights in a hexagonal design and a pronounced "omega-shaped" lip that acts as a connecting element between the carbon fins and is stylistically strongly reminiscent of the Huracán STO.
Also brand new are the Air Curtain air intakes, which optimize not only air resistance but also the airflow, which is directed closely past the side panels.
Memories of the Countach
The rear end, dominated by the large carbon wing, is characterized by minimalist design and lightweight construction philosophy. The frames of the new LED headlights pay tribute to the design of the Countach. They rest perfectly on the curved carbon bumper, which creates a harmonious link between the aerodynamic add-on parts positioned behind the wheels and the revised diffuser fins.
Many other modifications
The innovations also affect numerous body components such as the sill trims and the aforementioned aerodynamic add-on parts at the rear.
The braking system, designed and developed by Squadra Corse, is also new: the front steel brake discs go from 380 to 390 mm. The new calipers are designed for newly designed brake pads with larger surface area to optimize performance and consumption.
Proven V10 power unit
The power unit is a naturally aspirated V10 engine with a displacement of 5.2 liters and a maximum output of 620 hp. It is kept in check by a sequential X-Trac 6-speed transmission coupled to the rear-wheel drive.
The price for the European market is 250,000 euros excl. taxes. Customers can upgrade their Huracán Super Trofeo EVO with a special kit available from the beginning of 2022.
