Buemi: No more comparison to 2015 🎥
FORMULA E IN CHINA The last Formula E race before the start of the European season takes place on Saturday in Sanya, China. Unlike Edoardo Mortara, Sébastien Buemi has never won in 2019. The last FIA Formula E race on the Chinese mainland took place in the capital Beijing in 2015 - it was also the very first ever. On Saturday, the race will be held for the first time on a 2.236-kilometer circuit in the tourist resort of Sanya. The city in the south of Hainan on the coast of the South China Sea offers a tropical climate and wide sandy beaches. It is also said to have the best air quality in China.
In the following video, Nissan drivers Sébastien Buemi and Oliver Rowland explain what to expect in Sanya:

Nissan troubleshooting
The air behind the scenes at Nissan e.dams should be thick by now, even if this is not being publicized. Sébastien Buemi and Oliver Rowland have shown the speed in practice and in the races so far, but have not yet been able to convert it into a single podium.
Inwardly, this worries the Vaud native, but outwardly he is not worried about it.
Sébastien Buemi: "It's no use mourning the missed opportunities. We have no choice but to continue to work as hard as possible and improve our overall package."
No comparison to the premiere
The Swiss driver was already at the Formula E premiere in Beijing in 2015. Since then, it has undergone colossal changes.
Sébastien Buemi: "When I look back, the level of competition can no longer be compared with today. In five races this season, we've had lots of different people on pole and on the podium. I've been on pole myself before, so it's time for my name to finally be on the winners' list."
Crowd at the top of the table
Thanks to the variety on the podium, Buemi's deficit in the championship is not yet dramatic. With Sam Bird (54 points), Jérôme d'Ambrosio (53), Lucas di Grassi (52) and Edoardo Mortara (52), who inherited the victory from Bird in Hong Kong, four drivers from four different teams are at the top of the standings. Buemi follows in 13th place with a measly 15 points. But nothing is lost yet.
The following short video from Sanya shows what happens when the Nissan team has to line up for a group photo:
