Concentrated look at the pre-start of the Super Mini: Elia Sperandio wants to make up the points deficit in the youngest class in Levier.

Levier is almost considered a home race, as the French town is only a 20-minute drive from the Swiss border near Pontarlier. The karting track nestled in the Jura hills offers plenty of overtaking opportunities and is therefore known for its exciting and attractive races. The five classes - KZ2 shift karts, Iame X30 Challenge Switzerland, Iame X30 Junior, OK Senior and Super Mini (youth class) - will each have five timed practice sessions and three races on Sunday. The Sunday program therefore comprises 15 races lasting between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the category.

Many chasers still have a chance of winning the title
In the premier class KZ2, 17-year-old Loïc Vindice from Vaud was unbeatable at the last two events. As a result, he clearly leads the overall standings in the shifter kart category with a 30-point advantage. The pursuers have not yet admitted defeat. Paul Hökfelt, André Reinhard and Isabelle von Lerber still have a chance of winning the title and will do everything in their power to close the gap in Levier.

Fierce duels in every class: it's not just in the premier class KZ2 that every position is fought over. Here Vincenzo Alvaro is ahead of Paul Hökfelt.

Savio Moccia leads with a whopping 40 points
In the Iame X30 Challenge, Hicham Mazou, Norick Lehner and Alessandro Felber have pulled away at the top of the table. In the X30 Juniors, Savio Moccia still has a clear lead of 40 points despite the unsuccessful last event in Vesoul. With another strong performance in Levier, Elias Wigger and Julian Kuwabara-Wagg could close the gap again and make for an exciting championship finale in Lignières on September 17 and 18.

Will Fabio Leimer make the preliminary decision?
In most of the races so far, Fabio Leimer, Samuel Weibel and Yannik Klaey have been involved in exciting three-way battles in the new OK Senior class. Thanks to his experience, the 2013 GP2 champion came out on top. "But nothing is decided yet," Fabio Leimer remains cautious: "A single mistake or technical defect can wipe out the lead." In the Super Mini championship, Alessio Fagone is 27 points ahead of Elia Sperandio, who went down in history as the youngest winner of a SM race at the age of ten in the spring.
