Three of the five newly crowned champions in the autobau Swiss Kart Championship 2020 were already in the lead before the final in Italy. Savio Moccia in the X30 Challenge had the best starting position with a 40-point lead over Yoshindo Baumgartner and 46 over Dany Buntschu.
Finally a women's victory
Moccia's pursuers did not have an ideal weekend, so that after his victory in the first heat the decision was virtually already made. With second place in the second heat behind Michael Müller, last year's champion then closed the bag.
In the final, the now four-time champion had no chance of another race win after an accident. This was secured by Tanja Müller, who, like Moccia, entered the race on a KR chassis as a private competitor.
One race too few for Näscher
Nathan Neuhaus didn't let the butter be taken off his bread either. The man from the Jura, who raced against Moccia in the X30 last year, showed nerves of steel as a rookie in the OK Senior and managed his lead of just four points with ease.

Although he was not able to celebrate another victory, places 3, 3 and 7 were enough for him to prevail over Patrick Näscher by seven points in the end.
The Liechtensteiner had to give up the start in Mirecourt and almost turned the tide with one event less. A victory in the preliminary heat and two second places in the second heat and in the final behind Alain Baeriswyl were not quite enough.
Reed basser before Reinhard
Nicolas Rohrbasser could not be caught up either. After two second places in the heats (each time behind pursuer André Reinhard), the leader of the KZ2 shift karts was still eleven points ahead of the fast Kallnach racer.
The latter knocked on Rohrbasser's door several times in the final. At some point there was contact, which caused Reinhard to fall to the end of the field, Rohrbasser won and the championship was thus decided.

Sperandio makes it again
For Ekaterina Lüscher the final races meant the loss of the overall lead. The woman from Aargau was able to stay ahead of last year's champion in the first preliminary race thanks to second place behind Elia Sperandio and the two bonus points for the pole position.
But in the second heat and in the final, Sperandio made everything clear with two more victories. The young St.Gallen native, who is again spending three days testing in the Jenzer Motorsport Formula 4 car this week, was accordingly delighted with his successful title defense.

Ekaterina Lüscher had to settle for 3rd place in the final. Sperandio's teammate Lyon Mathur, who got better and better in the course of the season, ensured a "double victory". However, it was still not enough for third place in the championship. This was secured by Dario Cabanelas.
Failure with consequences
In the youngest of the cat. Super Mini on the course (8-12 years), Tiziano Kuzhnini led before the final with 155 points, ahead of Sergio Koch (149) and Matt Corbi (143). In the end it was Koch who was ahead thanks to three third places and the three bonus points for the fastest lap time in the final run.
Second place went to Kuzhnini, who had to accept his third zero this season in the first race (plug for the spark plug popped out). Meanwhile, Hector Gerling drove as if unleashed to three race wins, with which he still pushed Corbi from the overall podium.
