The Kartodrome in Franciacorta, Italy, hosted a race for the autobau Swiss Kart Championship for the first time. And it provided variety right from the start.

Title favorite among the youngest
Only in the Super Minis everything remained the same. Tiziano Kuzhnini left no stone unturned and won all three races. The Spirit pilot is clearly in the lead in the championship.

The boy from Lake Sempach has won eight of the nine races so far. This makes him the most successful SM rider so far in 2021. If he continues like this, he can already close the bag at the next race in Levier (August 22).

Huber's premiere at the OC Juniors
Among the new winners was Jérôme Huber. The Zurich native prevailed over Colin Würthenberger and Tina Hausmann in the first heat of the OK Juniors. In the second heat he was ahead of Ethan Ischer and Gaspard Le Gallais.

He also successfully prevailed in the final. This time against Elia Pappacena, who was involved in a collision on the last lap of the first run. Third place went to Ischer.

Spirit Racing's guest driver Luca Griggs was unbeatable in the X30 Challenge.

Damage limitation at Moccia
In the X30 Challenge Switzerland, the previously unbeaten Savio Moccia didn't really get going. In qualifying, he was only ninth, three tenths behind. Nevertheless, Moccia was not unhappy with the Franciacorta weekend.

Savio Moccia: "I scored more points than Kilian Streit, my direct opponent in the championship. That's very important with a view to the title."

Moccia and Streit got in each other's way in the final. In the battle for third place, the two collided after Streit drove into the back of his rival's kart. Moccia therefore only finished ninth, Streit fifth.

Guest driver prevails
The victories in the SM standings went to Nicolas Mühlebach (1st heat), Moccia (2nd heat) and Tanja Müller (final). In each of the three heats, the Briton Luca Griggs, who otherwise races in the DKM, was untouchable as a guest starter.

Lukas Muth was the man of the day in the OC Seniors.

In the OC Seniors, Lukas Muth already put an exclamation mark on the race in qualifying with the fastest time. After that, the Lucerne native drove from one heat victory to the next.

Neither Florent Panès (second in the first heat), nor overall leader Patrick Näscher (second in the second heat and in the final) could hold a candle to Muth.

Penalty for the KZ2 leader
In KZ2, too, it wasn't the previous series winner Nicolas Rohrbasser who ended up on top. The Geneva native won both heats. And he also crossed the finish line first in the final. But a five-second penalty for "unsportsmanlike conduct" threw him back to fourth place.

The beneficiary was Ivan Rechsteiner. The 22-year-old from Sottoceneri thus came to his first final victory in the Swiss championship and was very happy about it.

Strong also the performance of Ethan Frigomosca (P3, P3, P2) and Sebastian Kraft, who was on the podium for the first time in his first KZ2 season as third in the final.

Nicolas Rohrbasser was the strongest KZ2 rider, but committed an offense according to the stewards.
