Iron Dames: Iron ladies go for pink 🎥

RACE DREAMS Under the motto Race to Inspire, the partnership between Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Iron Lynx in GT racing is colored pink. The Huracán GT3 Evo2 is as pink as the race suits of the four female drivers.

Iron Dames is a project run by Iron Lynx with the aim of promoting women in motorsport at all levels, from drivers to mechanics, engineers and managers. The team was assembled in 2018 by Deborah Mayer (center gallery), entrepreneur, driver and president of the FIA Commission for Women in Motorsport

Four women, one vote: "Men and women can compete against each other in the same contests."

World Endurance Championship

The youngest of the women's team, 19-year-old Doriane Pin: "Yes, we do wear a pink suit, that's true. But when we put on our helmets, we are female riders who want to win. And nothing else."

The Italian racing team Iron Lynx has been selected by Lamborghini Squadra Corse as an entry team for the 2023 IMSA Endurance Cup and will compete as an official team with the Lamborghini LMDh in the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2024.

First step into motorsport

Deborah Mayer: "The Iron Dames project is driven by women with great passion. We race to inspire women to take the first step into motorsport. In doing so, we have proven that truly anything is possible. We are strong and we are fighters. Slowly but surely, we are changing the mentality of the sport."

In the IMSA Endurance Cup at Sebring, the Iron Dames will compete directly with their male counterparts aboard the number 83 Huracán GT3 Evo2 for the second championship round.

Rahel Frey is project manager

The Swiss representative in the women's team alongside Michelle Gatting, Sarah Bovy and Doriane Pin is Rahel Frey, the first woman to win an F3 race in Germany. She is not only a driver, but also project manager for the Iron Dames.

Rahel Frey: "In the world of racing, I don't want to think in terms of a male-female dualism. We get in the car and want to be the fastest, just like the others."
