The latest member of the popular Scout family pays homage to the stripped-down Indian models of the 1940s and 1950s. With a reduced yet aggressive design, powerful drive and sporty characteristics, the bikes stand for purist riding pleasure then as now.
The new Indian Bike shines with chopped fenders and black highlights, revised chassis, sporty seating position and grippy knobby tires. The footrests, which are positioned 38 millimeters further back, and a new tracker handlebar put the rider in a sporty, forward-leaning riding position. A new cartridge front fork and rear springs shortened by 25 millimeters also contribute to the new look. The 95-horsepower V-twin has a classically clean appearance and shines with only a few covers.
In addition, the speedometer display, headlight housings and the twin-tube exhaust system are all finished in black. Exclusively for the Scout Bobber, the Indian designers have created a tank logo that, like the two-tone leather seat, is perfectly matched to the look of the new bike.
