Ice Race: Cancellation due to too warm weather 🎥

SPRING IN THE ALPS The GP Ice Race 2023, which was scheduled to take place in Zell am See from January 27 to 29, is cancelled due to the ongoing warm weather. Tickets already purchased will be refunded.

After promising conditions in early December, the change in weather over the past few weeks has shrunk ice reserves in Zell am See, Austria, below the minimum and prevented further ice production.

Even a short-term search for alternative solutions quickly showed that the necessary conditions for the safe running of the event were not in place.

Disappointment for the organizers

Ferdi Porsche, Managing Director and organizer of the GP Ice Race: "The Ice Race is an experience for all fans. Therefore, it is very difficult for us to have to cancel the traditional event. Unfortunately, the current warm weather situation leaves us no other choice."

Constantin Klein, also managing director and organizer of the GP Ice Race: "We are extremely disappointed. Especially because we were so looking forward to the fans and the audience after two years without spectators. There is a lot of heart and soul in this event."

Ticket refund automatically

All tickets purchased through the official ticket store will be automatically refunded to the account from which they were paid. The organizer asks for some patience and understanding that the refund process can take up to two weeks.
