85 percent of the components of the Hyundai Veloster N TCR are identical to those of the i30 N TCR as used in the WTCR and several TCR series worldwide. This includes the two-liter turbocharged engine with 350 hp. Both models are built at Hyundai Motorsport in Alzenau (D).
The Veloster N TCR will be offered to customer teams in those countries where the i30 N is not sold. These include the USA. There it can be bought for the equivalent of $155,000.
Support for the customer teams will be provided by Bryan Herta Autosport, which itself fields two Velosters in the TCR class of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The first race over four hours will take place this weekend in the run-up to the 24 Hours of Daytona.
