The stage fits perfectly. Before the legendary Hummer returns in the fall, it will show itself on an extreme stage: The cult brand, now under the umbrella of the General Motors subsidiary GMC, is entering Extreme E. The company is working together with the U.S. team Chip Ganassi Racing. To this end, it is entering into a cooperation with the U.S. team Chip Ganassi Racing.
Limited possibilities for design
The teams only have limited options for customizing the bodywork. And GM, as team sponsor, wants to make use of them. Chip Ganassi Racing's vehicle will have a front end inspired by the GMC Hummer EV.
The front of the racing off-roader is said to resemble the look of the newly unveiled GMC Hummer EV with a new grille and paint scheme, among other things.
Striking continuous light strip in front
Like the road-going SUV, the Odyssey 21's look is dominated by the continuous light bar in the front and will be gray for its first season.
The Hummer EV is the first vehicle since the iconic brand's conversion to an all-electric brand. It is scheduled to be built starting this fall.
Rules with duels and online voting
Cupra is also involved as a partner in the racing series, which has special regulations with duels and online voting. Seat's performance brand supports the German Abt team (AutoSprintCH reported).
