In the modern building in Sulgen TG, Horag offers various services related to automobiles and racing.

It all began in 2009 with the purchase of a Ligier JS51 with a Honda engine. To date, Horag has looked after around ten Ligier race cars, from the JS51 to the JS53 and the JS P3. As an independent racing team, Horag Hotz Racing can point to numerous victories, especially in the Sports Car Challenge and the P9 Challenge.

Racing cars for every purpose
In 2019, Ligier Automotive unveiled the Ligier JS2 R, a small, powerful and easy-to-drive GT race car. It is the counterpart to the JS P4 presented a year earlier.

To drive a Ligier JS P4 (front) or JS2 R, you don't have to be particularly talented or wealthy.

With the new models, the French manufacturer wants to enable young drivers and gentleman drivers to discover motorsport and have fun on the track for a manageable budget, whether at track days or in competition.

Expansion to the whole of Europe
Together with Max Mamers Management, the manufacturer launched the first cross-brand series, the Ligier JS Cup France for the JS2 R, two years ago.

In 2020, the Ligier European Series was added, in which the JS2 R and JS P4 models compete together. This will be held as part of the European Le Mans Series. The manufacturer's goal for the next few years is clear: to open up new playing fields in Europe and the world for its cars.

Last year saw the premiere of the Ligier European series. The low-cost JS2 R and JS P4 models are used.

Always on the road to success since 1971
Founded by former Swiss racing car master and designer Markus Hotz, son Benjamin Hotz has been running the business for several years with the help of his brother David. This year, the Sulgen-based company celebrates its 50th anniversary - an ideal time to deepen the relationship with the Ligier brand.

Very good price-performance ratio
The common goal is to promote the Ligier JS2 R and JS P4 in particular in and around Switzerland. In addition, Ligier customers are offered technical support and a spare parts service.

Benjamin Hotz: "We are sure that the new Ligier Championships in France, Italy and Europe will attract teams and drivers from our region. Our goal is to lead them to these new championships and provide them with quality customer service. The new models that Ligier has launched in recent years are real race cars and offer very good value for money for both test days and competition."

David, Beni and company founder Markus Hotz are happy about the existing and new clientele. They also offer racing tire service (Michelin).

Horag plans to organize several test days to present the Ligier models. The team itself will take part in individual races.

More about Ligier Automotive, the individual models and the various racing series can be found on the Horag and Ligier homepage.

Benjamin Hotz has been driving and winning with a self-developed Ligier turbo for years.
