Android Auto has firmly established itself in the car industry and is one of the most practical features of recent years. By connecting to the smartphone, the phone's screen can be mirrored on the car's display, making it easy to operate apps like Google Maps, or Spotify.
Access Google Maps with mobile device
The pilot controls all of the Africa Twin's systems via the color MID (Multi Information Display) with a 6.5-inch screen diagonal, and can stay in contact with others on longer trips. The MID now also features Android Auto.
When the mobile device is connected, it is possible to access Google Maps, for example, to navigate easily from door to door, as well as to make and receive calls or listen to music via a Bluetooth headset in the helmet. The MID also enables Bluetooth connection to iPhone or Android devices.
After Apple CarPlay now follows Android Auto
For Apple owners, the feature with Apple CarPlay was already available for the CRF 1100L Africa Twin, and now the Android equivalent follows.
While new examples of the Africa Twin probably already have the feature in the showroom, owners of the current model can also rejoice: the new feature can be installed for the Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports by the Honda dealer.
