The bike leans noticeably more on the RC 231 V-S racing machine. The new in-line four-cylinder engine is housed in a likewise new aluminum frame. The one-liter engine delivers 217 hp at 14,500 rpm and 113 Nm at 12,500 rpm.

Fairing has winglets
Three driving modes are available, and the electronics package now also includes adjustable launch control. The fairing features winglets to generate additional downforce. A full-color five-inch TFT screen, a three-stage adjustable steering damper and a smart key system are standard.
The CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade, which weighs 201 kilograms when fully fueled, also features a nine-stage traction control system that can be switched off.
