Michale von Tell covered 1723 kilometers in 24 hours on a Harley-Davidson LiveWire.
The record-breaking journey started in Zurich and went via Stuttgart to Singen, where von Tell shuttled back and forth between cities six times on the A1 autobahn before heading via Austria to the Principality of Liechtenstein, where he arrived after 23 hours and 48 minutes of driving and eight quick battery charges - with 1723 kilometers on the clock. Near Stuttgart, the Harley-Davidson's battery was recharged for the first time, and a second time in Singen.
No entry in the Guinness Book
The ride will probably not be entered in the Guinness Book of Records - for formal reasons. The reason: because there was no one from Guinness among the six witnesses to the spectacle, the record is only unofficial. In contrast to the previous record, the Swiss drove the route alone.
Harley-Davidson Switzerland: When we heard about the mega ride after the action, the joy was great. The company congratulates Michel von Tell on the new record.
