The seven-and-a-half-minute video shows the different look and the uniform "sound" of all Formula E cars in the sixth season 2019/20.

BMW ahead
From Tuesday to Friday, all twelve teams of the sixth Forme E season 2019/20 and their 24 drivers met for the first time during the official tests at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. The fastest time of the three days of testing - Thursday was reserved for filming - was set by German Maximilian Günther of BMW i Andretti Motorsport.

Nico Müller third fastest
Newcomer Nico Müller has already put down his first marker. He already proved his speed as an Audi test driver with best times in official test drives. In the Geox Dragon Racing car from the USA, he achieved the third-best time in the first test of strength. This also made him the fastest of the four Swiss drivers in the field (Best times Formula E test drives Valencia 2019).

Nico Müller already feels very comfortable in the Geox Dragon Racing car. But we won't know what his third-best time is worth until the race premiere in November (Photos: FIA Formula E).

Premiere for Porsche
For the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, the test drives were the first opportunity to test and optimize the operational processes on a race track with both Porsche 99X Electric cars. Neel Jani completed a total of 119 laps (368 kilometers), while teammate André Lotterer completed 154 laps (476 kilometers).

The program, which was interrupted by two accidents, consisted largely of tests of different vehicle settings and simulations of qualifying and the race. The data will be analyzed in the remaining weeks until the start of the season at Porsche Motorsport in Weissach in order to draw targeted conclusions.

Intensive learning process
Ranks 19 and 22 did not quite meet expectations. The Mercedes Benz EQ Formula E Team, which also joined as a works team, finished in between with its two drivers and did not make any great leaps forward. After all, Mercedes already has a season's experience with HWA RACELAB as the vanguard.

Neel Jani: "We learned something new with every round and found many solutions. At the same time, some new questions were also raised. It is a very intensive learning process. The race simulations were very interesting and helpful for us. Ultimately, however, we are not yet where we want to be at the end - at least on this track. Nevertheless, we have made progress and are positive that we will learn from this for our first race in Riyadh."

The sixth multi-year season kicks off on November 22 and 23 with two races at the Diriyah E-Prix in Saudi Arabia.

A premiere in Formula E: Mercedes and Porsche are now also demonstrating their expertise in e-mobility in this way.
