Formula 4: Swiss young talents go full throttle - Part 2
In 2015, a total of 51 up-and-coming talents ensured 24 exciting races in the ADAC Formula 4 season. Seven of them come from Switzerland: Giorgio Maggi, Lucas Mauron, Moritz Müller-Crepon, Marylin Niederhauser, Nico Rindlisbacher, Nikolaj Rogivue and Alain Valente. Today AutoSprintCH introduces you to three more young talents. Nico Rindlisbacher For Rindlisbacher started his season in the Italian Formula 4 [...]
Nico Rindlisbacher
For Rindlisbacher, his season in Italian Formula 4 started with fifth place in the first race. "Then, when I tackled the races in Monza full of motivation, I had an accident. A carelessness on the part of my competitor resulted in me slightly fracturing two vertebrae and bruising three others. I missed six races, which I made up in ADAC Formula 4," he told AutoSprintCH.
During the season, however, he also managed to resume the championship in Italy. "With the experience gained in German Formula 4, I was optimally prepared and managed to finish in the points nine times in the remaining twelve races, with a podium finish at the end. I still ended the season in the top 10 out of a total of 33 drivers with the 10th final place and am therefore extremely satisfied! ", says the 19-year-old, pleased with the positive outcome of his difficult year.
Nikolai Rogivue
At the beginning of the season, Rogivue had set the top 10 as his goal. "Unfortunately, however, I didn't manage that due to a very long streak of bad luck. But I'm not discouraged by that and will give 100 percent full throttle again next year," he explained.
Rogivue is convinced he will race in ADAC Formula 4 again in 2016. "You learn a lot in this racing series. That's mainly due to the strong competition, which will never give in to doubt. The level is very high and therefore just right. Because of the three races per weekend, I've improved in all areas."
Alain Valente
Valente already gained experience in Italian Formula 4 with Jenzer Motorsport in 2014, making it onto the podium a total of six times. In 2015, he competed for Race Performance in ADAC Formula 4. The race weekend in Spa-Francorchamps is one of his personal favorites. "The field consisted of 39 drivers. I fought my way up over 18 positions in the races," Valente reported.
He was also successful in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe. At the race at the Nürburgring, he finished fourth and fifth together with teammate Loris Spinelli. Following this successful race, Valente will race again in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo in 2016. "The team has not been finalized yet. Plans for the upcoming 2016 season are in the final stages," he told AutoSprintCH.
