Formula 1: Two points for the team from Hinwil 🎥
AND IT CONTINUES The Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team scored two points in the Constructors' Championship at the Australian Grand Prix. Max Verstappen won ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.
In the chaotic race, which was stopped and restarted three times, Zhou Guanyu from the Hinwil team kept a cool head and finished tenth. As Carlos Sainz, who was initially in front of him, was given a five-second time penalty, Guanyu was ultimately classified ninth. Team-mate Valtteri Bottas finished eleventh, narrowly missing out on the points.
Solid race without mistakes
Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Team Representative: "The Australian Grand Prix showed once again how important it is to fight until the end of a race. We never let up, managed the race well and created chances as a result. Luck was on our side, but we had to take advantage of it. Both Zhou and Valtteri drove a solid race without any mistakes. Two points are a good haul. We now have to use the short break before the next race in Baku to get back to our performance from the Bahrain Grand Prix."
Before the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on April 30, 2023, the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team now has a total of six World Championship points to its name.
