In the run-up to next weekend's US Grand Prix in Austin/Texas and the Formula 1 Fan Festival in Miami (where there are also efforts to stage a Formula 1 race in the city), the Citrix company drew attention to itself in a spectacular way as an innovation partner of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.
Formula 1 sound in lofty heights
Using a helicopter and crane, the organizers of the stunt had a Red Bull RB7 hoisted onto the helipad-equipped roof of the newly constructed One Thousand Museum Tower on Miami's Biscayne Boulevard.
After that, former Red Bull F1 driver and 13-time GP winner David Coulthard did several donuts at an altitude of 700 feet (about 210 meters).
David Coulthard: "A fantastic promotional tour for our team, for Citrix and for Formula 1. The GP squad loves to travel to Austin and we feel welcome there as well. But we think this country is big enough to have a Formula One race in downtown Miami as well."
Work platform
As a service provider, Citrix offers a digital application platform that connects a company's employees around the world online - whether they are in the office, at a racetrack or on top of a skyscraper. Also the Galledia Publishing House Ltd., to which AutoSprintCH belongs, works with Citrix.
