Interested parties who have already applied to purchase a Ford GT will be notified in good time and will only need to update their existing request at the start of the next application period in 2018. The planned production extension underlines Ford Performance's racing activities, which will see the Ford GT compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championships and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) for a total of four years. The third of the four production years is intended to reduce the waiting list. Interested parties who missed the original application period will now be given a chance to apply again and will be considered in the fourth production year.
