Ford GT: Four colors for one Hallelujah 🎥

Each livery at this year's Le Mans 24 Hours (June 15-16) honors a separate chapter of the brand's success. In black with white stripes, Chip Ganassi Racing's Ford GT with start number 66 picks up the design of the GT 40 that Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon drove to the first overall victory for the automaker at Le Mans in 1966. Stefan Mücke from Berlin, Olivier Pla from France and Billy Johnson from the USA will take turns at the wheel of the black factory car in 2019.
Last Ford victory three years ago
In 1967, Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt repeated the previous year's success in a red GT 40. In 2019, the Brits Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell will share the red Ganassi Ford with Jonathan Bomarito (USA) with starting number 67. In 2016, the Swiss-by-choice Dirk Müller (D), Joey Hand (USA) and Sébastien Bourdais (F) clinched the most recent Le Mans victory for Ford with starting number 68. The tried-and-tested trio will compete again in 2019 in the 2016 colors.
The works team's fourth Ford GT, driven by Scott Dixon (NZ), Ryan Briscoe (AUS) and Richard Westbrook (GB), is reminiscent of Ford's 1966 one-two-three triumph. The number 69 car picks up the design of the GT 40, which finished second at the time.
The customer team Keating Motorsports completes the lineup with a Ford GT in the GTE-Am class. Ben Keating (USA), Jeroen Bleekemolen (NL) and Felipe Fraga (BR) start with the number 85 in the same basic design as the factory race cars, adapted to the primary colors of their main sponsor Wynn's.
Premiere at the official test day
On Sunday, June 2, the Ford GTs will be out on the 13.6-kilometer track for the first time in the various "Celebration Liveries" during the official test day. For the race itself, Ford will again offer the popular Le Mans live stream. Fans can follow the race action in real time from the cockpit perspective of the four CGR Ford GTs (ampnet/jri).
