On March 25, the teams were able to take to the track with the new Cup cars for the first time at the delivery event at the Nürburgring.

For the team from Sattel, this is the second season in the German one-make cup, in which the team secured fourth place overall in 2020. In terms of driving, the team with Sandro Kaibach, Christof Langer and Christopher Zöchling relies on versatile know-how.

Valuable experience
The ambitious and always goal-oriented team boss ensured that in both series experienced and talented drivers were at the wheel of the freshly acquired Cup cars based on the new 992 type.

Alex Fach: "Especially with a new car, the opportunity to draw on versatile experience is particularly valuable here. For the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, we're in a great position with Sandro, Christopher and Christof to get a lot out of the car."

Double program with veteran Zöchling
Already confirmed for the squad in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, Christopher Zöchling also climbs into the cockpit of a GT3 sports car from Sattel in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. Most recently, the Austrian competed in the national one-make cup and secured fourth place overall.

In 2021, the 33-year-old will also be relying on his expertise at the wheel.

Christopher Zöchling: "Starting with a strong team in two series at once is an ideal starting position for implementing maximum performance. With every kilometer I drive, I learn more about the car and can then put that into practice on the track."

Christopher Zöchling knows the Swiss team from 2015, when he celebrated a Supercup victory with Fach Auto Tech.

Continue learning process
The youngest of the bunch is Sandro Kaibach. The team newcomer raced in 2018 and 2019 with the predecessor model based on the 991 in the internationally strong German Cup. The 23-year-old from Bregenz secured points in the fiercely contested field and continuously improved his performance.

The driver from Vorarlberg is confident that he can continue to improve in one of the strongest one-make cups in Europe.

Sandro Kaibach: "I am new to the team, but its work is not for me. In past seasons, I was able to see what Fach Auto Tech does as a team, and that ultimately convinced me to become a part of it."

Senior return
The squad has been expanded by Christof Langer. With him, a well-known driver who competed in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup with the team from Schwyz in 2018 returns to Alex Fach's racing team.

The 54-year-old is looking forward to working with the team.

Christof Langer: "I have great memories of my time with Fach. Monza 2018 is one example. This season will also be good, I'm sure of that. I was able to experience the new car at delivery - it convinced me."

Attractive race weekends
The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland kicks off its season from April 29 to May 1 as part of the FIA Endurance World Championship at Spa-Francorchamps. The series then holds races as part of the ADAC GT Masters and the DTM.

Fach Auto Tech takes advantage of the new acquisition of three Porsche 992 GT3 Cup and uses them in two championships. Spearhead is Christopher Zöchling.
