Ducati: First pictures of the next Monster
STRONG RISE Ducati enters 2021 with a completely redesigned Monster. The brand icon has been reduced even more to the essentials and comes without a lattice tube frame and additional designation with the displacement number. The 937-cubic-inch V2, which has been slightly boosted to 111 hp at 9250 rpm, hangs with its cylinder heads directly on the short aluminum frame.
Ducati has reduced the dry weight to 166 kilograms. The subframe at the rear made of fiberglass-reinforced polymer, for example, also contributes to this.
Screen modeled on the Panigale V4
The 18 kilogram lighter successor to the Monster 821 comes standard with up-and-down quickshifter, three-stage cornering ABS including deactivation at the rear wheel, Launch Control and Wheelie Control.
The 4.3-inch full TFT screen is modeled on the Panigale V4. For better handling, the steering angle has been extended by seven degrees. A lowering kit should also make the Monster easier to handle if the worst comes to the worst.
New aerodynamic cockpit trim
The Monster Plus model variant with aerodynamic cockpit trim and pillion seat cover has also been added to the standard equipment.
The Ducati Monster is scheduled to go on sale in April. Prices are not yet known.
