Riding a motorcycle and listening to music - the two go well together. It's not for nothing that many artists have been dedicating their songs to the passionate experience of riding a motorcycle for generations.

BMW R 18
The BMW R 18 B and the R 18 Transcontinental will be unveiled to the public for the first time on August 6, 2021.

Loud guitar through huge speakers

Singer and guitarist Jaren Johnston: "It was a great experience! During the recording we tried to convey the feeling of getting on this motorcycle from Germany for the first time, playing a really loud guitar through huge speakers. I think we managed to do that."

Marshall offers an intense sound experience
With the sound system, the new R 18 Transcontinental (gallery) and R 18 B offer a particularly intense sound experience. The R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B already feature as standard a sound system developed with the British manufacturer Marshall with two 2-way loudspeakers integrated into the front fairing. Black cover grilles with white Marshall lettering round off the classic look.

Classic chassis design of the Big Boxer
With the new R 18 Transcontinental, BMW Motorrad is expanding the R 18 family to include a Grand American Tourer and, with the new R 18 B, a "bagger" of the kind that is particularly popular in the USA.

As with the previous R 18 models, the R 18 Transcontinental and R 18 B combine the distinctive drive of the "big boxer" with a classic chassis concept based on historical models, exclusive equipment and a stylish design.

The two new members of the R 18 family will be unveiled to the public for the first time on August 6, 2021 in Sturgis, South Dakota, USA. Global sales will start in September 2021.
