Prototype
The prototype is reminiscent of BMW's motorcycle boxer engines from the 1960s.

The bike was unveiled at the Handbuilt Show in Austin, Texas. BMW plans to present the big boxer in a production vehicle for the cruiser segment as early as next year.

Air-oil cooling and large displacement
Alan Stulberg's team was inspired by Ernst Henne's record-breaking machines of the late 1920s and 1930s. The development of the vehicle concept took just under six months. There was already much speculation on site about the large-volume prototype engine.
Both the external geometry and the visible elements, such as the pushrods running above the cylinders in chrome-plated protective tubes, are reminiscent of the design of BMW motorcycle boxer engines from the 1960s - only with significantly larger displacement and modern air-oil cooling.
