The 24-year-old from Bern will be behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3. For the five endurance races, the "Endurance Cup" of the Blancpain Series, Niederhauser will form a team together with Italians Fabio Babini and Daniel Zampieri. In the five one-hour races of the "Sprint Cup," Niederhauser will compete together with Zampieri. "I'm over the moon about this opportunity and I can't wait for it to start," Niederhauser explains.
The season kicks off at Misano (Italy) from April 8 to 10. Before that, official tests will be held at Le Castellet (France) on March 9 and 10. The season highlight is the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) on July 30-31.
In 2015, Niederhauser competed in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. Niederhauser finished the season in sixth place in the Lamborghini. Due to his good performance, he was accepted into the "Lamborghini Young Driver Program". Furthermore, Niederhauser completed two races in the GP2 series as a guest starter in Monza in 2015.
