After successful participation with Ligier and Wolf sports cars in previous 24-hour races in Zolder, the team from tranquil Trun in the Grisons Oberland has developed a soft spot for Belcar Endurance, the Belgian endurance championship. Therefore, the lesser-known second marathon in Belgium (in addition to the 24 Hours of Spa) is the renewed focus of activities for T2 Racing.

Two to four Norma sports cars
The Belcar Endurance for touring cars, GT and small sports cars includes endurance races in Zolder (B), Spa (B) and Assen (NL). In addition to the sporadic use of other vehicles, T2 Racing will rely on two Norma sports cars, following on from the collaboration with GHK Racing that was established in 2018.

No longer the youngest, but no less ambitious as young hotshots: Pieder Decurtins, Chris Mattheus and Guy Verheyen.

One of the two regular cars will be driven by the Swiss Philippe Schlegel and Marc Weber with the German Stephan Brintzinger. In the other sports car, Belgian Guy Verheyen and Monegasque Chris Mattheus take turns with team boss Pieder Decurtins.

For the season opener next weekend at the second round of the DTM in Zolder, two more of the flounders weighing only 570 kilos will be fielded with the Swiss Nico Stürzinger and Mike Fenzl and Decurtins as drivers in the two one-hour races.

Focus on the 24 Hours of Zolder
With the wealth of experience they have gained, they are once again hoping for a top place in the overall standings, especially at the season highlight, the 24-hour race at Zolder (August 8-11). After class victories in 2016 (third overall) and 2017, the expectations and motivation of everyone involved are correspondingly high for what will already be the fourth appearance - as one of only two Swiss entry teams.

Especially those of co-owners of T2 Racing and Radical Sportscars Switzerland.

Pieder Decurtins: "We are pleased to be able to attack again with the proven Norma M20 FC and hope for a successful season. Our spring tests at Spa, Hockenheim and Zolder make us optimistic about the races ahead. We are ready for the season opener in Zolder."

During test drives, T2 Racing has convinced itself of the qualities of the Norma M20 FC. Up to four of these sports cars will be used.
