Racing has a long tradition at Aprilia. The engineers gather know-how there, which they also bring to the series. The two entry-level models RX 125 (top images) and SX 125 (bottom images) have now been extensively revised for the 2021 season. Technically, they are built on the same basis, but they are different in terms of appearance and equipment.
Eye-catcher with matt and glossy black
The SX 125 in supermoto style, the RX 125 in off-road style - this is how the models present themselves. The SX 125 with 17-inch spoked wheels is extremely agile, while the RX 125 with 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel and chunky tires shows no weaknesses off-road.
The body parts, the redesigned tank and the seat fit seamlessly together in the slim motorcycles. From the frame to the engine, the swingarm, the rims and the aluminum handlebars, matt and glossy black dominate. Real eye-catchers.
Protected behind the small lamp cover, the digital cockpit offers perfectly legible information. The storage compartment under the seat bench is pre-equipped from the factory for the installation of a USB port.
Catalytic converter system and stainless steel silencer
The Euro 5-compliant single-cylinder four-stroke engine with 15 hp has been optimized in terms of thermodynamics. The cylinder head with modified combustion chamber and revised valve train as well as Iridium spark plugs are completely new.
The throttle valve has also been repositioned to optimize the intake air flow. On the exhaust side, the engine was equipped with an optimized catalytic converter system and a new stainless steel silencer.
Front brake system now with single-channel ABS
The single cylinder is installed in a stable bridge frame. A large upside-down fork with 240 millimeters of suspension travel guides the front wheel.
The front brake system is equipped with single-channel ABS. However, ABS is dispensed with on the rear wheel in favor of sporty handling on the supermoto track and on loose surfaces off-road.
Both models are equipped with a stop system that regulates the lifting of the rear wheel during extreme braking maneuvers.
By the way: With both models, the fun can begin from the age of 16.
