The 12H Monza was scheduled to take place on the last weekend of March. Following an agreement between the operators of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and the organizers of the private endurance series, this new event at the GP Circuit is now scheduled for 10/11 July. However, the 9-hour race at Le Castellet scheduled for the same weekend in July 2020 will not take place.

Sensible shift
Not only is the spread of Covid-19 in northern Italy, and therefore the risk of infection, greater than anywhere else in the country of origin, China. Also, all sporting events in Italy, unless they have already been canceled, have to take place without an audience until the beginning of April. This cancellation or postponement therefore makes sense and was to be expected.

The first European race of the 24H Series 2020, which started in Dubai at the beginning of January, will now be moved to Estoril in Portugal from March 26 to 28 at short notice. All teams already registered for Monza, including some from Switzerland, are automatically admitted to this half-marathon.

Ruedi Jost, Team Principal TOPCAR sport: "We're not hanging our heads because of the consequences of the coronavirus. We would have raced at Monza in three weeks' time. Estoril is obviously not on the way, but we'll take it as it comes. We will therefore also be testing with our Cupra TCR and Karen Gaillard at the Adria Raceway next week."
