Anyone who followed the 54th edition of the endurance classic in Florida probably had no fingernails left by Sunday evening at the latest. The race in the Sunshine State offered captivating motorsport at its best - right up to the last lap. This was also the case in the GTLM class, in which Marcel Fässler started. In the end, Fässler beat his teammates in the sister car by a tiny margin of 0.034 seconds.
Rolf Ineichen also had victory in sight. A few minutes before the end, the Lamborghini driver took the lead in the GTD class for GT3 cars. However, fuel problems set the entrepreneur from Sursee back and thwarted a podium finish.
