On September 12, the Proleague of White Planet eSports (WPe) will start its first season. The goal is to promote and professionalize sim racing in a professional league.
Gian Kleeli, founder of White Planet eSports: "The joy in the WPe team to finally get started is huge. Everyone involved is highly motivated and eagerly awaiting the first race."
The Proleague is the first privately organized racing series to pay out prize money. This will ensure that the 14 best GT Sport drivers race in a league for the title.
Broadcast of the races live on Twitch
The organizers succeeded in bringing the entire league to life in just nine months. At the same time, sponsors Kittfugen Kristensen and Motul (Hostettler Autotechnik AG) were brought on board. Thanks to these partners, prize money of more than 10,000 Swiss francs beckons.
Participants must be at least 18 years old. Qualifying Round 1 runs from September 13 to 19, with Rounds 2 and 3 following on October 2 and 3. All races will be broadcast live on Broadcast Twitch.
