A few days ago, racing driver Jasmin Preisig was able to take delivery at Amag Winterthur of her Golf GTI Clubsport, whose new driving profile has been tuned by specialists to the track characteristics of the Nürburgring's Nordschleife.
Jasmin Preisig: "The car is exactly to my taste. It has the same DNA as my Golf GTI TCR for the racetrack. I can't wait to try out the new Special driving profile. Maybe there will also be an opportunity for a practical test on the Nordschleife."
Electromechanical front axle cross lock
The Golf GTI Clubsport features a 2-liter turbocharged engine with 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque as well as a sports suspension with a new driving dynamics manager.
In the new Golf GTI, this driving dynamics system already networks the control of the electronic differential locks and the lateral dynamic components of the electronic damper control.
In the Golf GTI Clubsport, the electromechanical front axle differential lock is now also integrated into the network of the vehicle dynamics manager for the first time.
Sports exhaust system with oval tailpipes
The further improved aerodynamics with the special diffuser, the body lowered by ten millimeters and the widened side sills also ensure sporty driving dynamics.The oval tailpipes of the sports exhaust system are also new.
Other GTI-specific features also individualize the interior. These include sports seats in Art-Velours, which provide good support even when cornering at speed, and a sports steering wheel with shift paddles for the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
