All artworks of the Art Session as well as Sophia the Robot are freely accessible on Friday, September 7. The panel discussion with Sophia can be followed live on Thursday, September 6 at facebook.com/volvoswitzerland.

The Volvo Art Session explores the relationship between people and technology. The subject matter is made accessible to the public through an interactive exhibition that creates emotional moments, casts glances into the future and often transcends the boundaries of human perception. The up-and-coming artist Andreas Wannerstedt presents "Oddly Satisfying", a series of eight 3D sculptures as looping animations, and the collective Kuflex shows ibegehbare installations with the two installations "Quantum Space" and "Symbiosis". Artist Christopher Bauder and composer Robert Henke fuse kinetic light objects and electronic music in the audiovisual light installation "Grid".

Interview with the most human-like robot
Sophia the Robot, the world's most human-like robot, gives an interview on the podium and thus addresses the question of what artificial intelligence is capable of today. On the opening night, Sophia joins Stephan Sigrist, founder of the Swiss think tank W.I.R.E, and Eric Krapf, CEO Atos Switzerland, in a panel discussion on artificial intelligence. Through appearances such as the one before the United Nations and at international congresses, the robot woman is currently causing a stir. With the ability to respond to her counterpart, conduct dialogues and show emotions through facial expressions, Sophia embodies the leitmotif of this year's Volvo Art Session.
