Under the leitmotif "Human meets Digital", the event will focus on the link between people and technology. Futurist Martin Lindstrom will open the session with a keynote speech. A native of Denmark, he will shed light on the opportunities and dangers of the increasing intertwining of humans and technology. Under the title "Father, what do you love more - me or your iPhone?" he ventures a look into the society of the future.
Virtual exhibition
A virtual exhibition by the Berlin artist collective Refrakt and a light installation by the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) invite inspiration and discussion. The artist collective blurs the digital space with the real one by means of smartphone or tablet. A digitally recorded show with the two dancers Afina Feodossiadi and Daniel Asamoah, choreographed by Jeffrey Jimenez, combines projection, dance and music at the highest technical level and rounds off the program.
Compact SUV presented
The Art Session 2017 will also feature the Swiss premiere of the new Volvo XC40 compact SUV. Natalie Robyn, Managing Director of Volvo Switzerland, comments: "When developing new vehicles, Volvo always focuses on people. So our new model is also a perfect fit for this year's Art Session. In our opinion, new digital innovations only make sense if customers retain control over the new technologies and they make their lives better and easier. The XC40 also stands for this credo."
