On Sunday August 30, the VW community will meet in Mathon for the big parade in honor of the VW Bus. The route then leads through the Val Schons, from the Roffla Gorge to the Viamala.
Vehicles must be older than 30 years
Invited are all Volkswagen models, passenger cars, vans and derivatives that are 30 years and older. You can see some examples in the gallery.
Meeting point for all participants is at the village entrance of Mathon above Zillis.
The program of the anniversary party
- ... from 10 am: Arrival of the participants at the village entrance of Mathon above Zillis. Meet and greet with VW classics of all kinds (drive-in without registration in Mathon / GR).
- 10 am to 1:30 pm: exhibition and judging of the vehicles.
- from 13.30: Guided tour through the mountain villages of the idyllic Val Schons.
- at 3 p.m. the parade arrives in Zillis for the award ceremony. Judging will take place in the categories "rear-engine" and "front-engine" for vans and buses, as well as in the categories "air-cooled" and "water-cooled". There are prizes to be won for all.
- at 4 p.m. the VW Parade will disband and the participants will start their individual journey home.
