Raffle: ap suspension for Jacqueline's Golf

The reason: the production employee won an ap coilover suspension worth 1,000 Swiss francs in the KW automotive and AutoSprintCH competition and had the part installed personally at Delta Garage Schlatt by Dominik Hans, the boss of the company (in the gallery on the far left).

Lowering was a long-cherished wish

Jacqueline Hauser: "I found out about the competition on Instagram and applied with a few details about the car and myself, as well as some photos. At the very end, I added under P.S. that a lowering would be the finishing touch for my car. I had been thinking about a tune-up of this kind for a long time."

The enthusiastic driver had not expected that this wish could come true so quickly. When she finally made the appointment for the installation of the coilover suspension with Dominik Hans (far left in the gallery) and noted it down in her agenda, her luck was perfect.

Handling and optimal ride
Once the new dampers and springs had been installed and the Wolfsburg car was now 35 millimeters lower at the front and 40 millimeters lower at the rear, the question was how these changes to the 100-hp Golf IV would be felt on the road.

The product description states: "Coilovers from ap make sporty handling and optimum driving behavior possible. By adjusting an aluminum spring plate, customers have the option of individually setting the vehicle height in the tested range.

The parallel tuning of sportiness, comfort and safety then offers an optimum setup.

Sounds good, but is it true in practice?

The difference is totally amazing

Jacqueline Hauser: "I was a bit skeptical at first and took things slowly. I immediately noticed the harder set-up. You can feel every bump in the road. I like that. But it's also very pleasant at the same time. The difference is totally different. It's just amazing what you can do. In short, I'm really thrilled with my now very sporty car."
