Families who are looking for nature and adventure, but do not want to sacrifice comfort, prefer camping.

Including the newly acquired Camping Thusis Viamala and the TCS pop-up glamping village in Laax, the total number of overnight stays even increased by around six percent to 596,000.

Oliver Grützner, Head of Tourism & Leisure: "As in the previous year, the ideal camping weather played into our hands. But we also benefited from the ongoing camping boom and increased environmental awareness. Close-to-nature destinations are back in vogue."

The TCS Pop-Up Glamping Village will continue in the next due to its great success.

Pop-up glamping village has proved its worth
From the beginning of July to the end of September, TCS Camping operated Switzerland's first TCS pop-up glamping village on Alp Plaun above Laax. The 20 comfortably furnished tents in the midst of nature enjoyed great popularity.

The concept was aimed primarily at urban couples and families who are looking for nature and adventure, but do not want to sacrifice comfort. The consistently positive feedback and the great demand for a continuation have prompted TCS Camping to offer the TCS Pop-Up Glamping Village again next year.

New season starts April 2, 2020
On October 13, the majority of TCS campsites will close the season. During the winter months, TCS Camping Thunersee-Gwatt will be completely rebuilt and renovated and will open for business on May 21, 2020. Season opening of the other TCS campsites is on April 2 next year.
