The brand's participation in the Spengler Cup, the prestigious tournament in top Swiss ice hockey held in Davos in the week of the old year, is legendary. The brand thus consistently follows the commitment of the Czech manufacturing plant Skoda Auto in this country as well.
Main sponsor of the Ice Hockey World Championship
Skoda Auto has been the main sponsor of the Ice Hockey World Championship since 1993 and claims the record in the Guinness Book of Records for the longest sports sponsorship of a World Championship. Skoda Auto's contract was extended last year until 2021.

Turbodiesel engines and all-wheel drive
All vehicles in the new fleet feature Skoda's intelligent 4×4 drive system. HC Davos' four Kodiaqs are powered by a 190-hp 2.0 TDI turbodiesel engine with SCR nitrogen oxide catalytic converter, which delivers its power to the wheels via a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The eleven Octavia RS models are equipped with the 2.0 TDI 184 hp turbodiesel unit, which also features the SCR catalytic converter to reduce emissions, especially nitrogen oxides.
