This year, Fiat Chrysler will present two very special pickup concepts built by its tuning division Mopar at the Speciality Equipment Market Association (Sema) show from November 5 to 18.

Basis is the pick-up Ram 1500
The Ram 1500 Rebel OTG (meaning Off The Grid) is aimed at contemporaries seeking new destinations off the paved roads. The OTG concept is based on the Ram 1500 pickup truck, which is powered by a three-liter V6 Eco diesel.

Equipped with a 120-liter fuel tank, the recreational vehicle is designed for long trips. And if the terrain should ever become too challenging, the Mopar winch helps to move forward.

Above the loading area, the developers mounted a tent and bed, which can be reached via a ladder. Underneath is a kitchen including refrigerator and water supply.

Classic model as an eye catcher
While the concept for leisure and adventure certainly seems close to series production, the Mopar Lowliner Concept shows how a classic pickup can be transformed into an exciting eye-catcher. Mopar shows what can be done with a 1968 Dodge pickup. The result is called the "Candied Delmonico Red and Dairy Cream Mopar Lowliner Concept".

The front axle of the car has been moved forward by 7.5 centimeters to provide more length. The front end can be raised completely to accommodate the 5.9 liter Cummings diesel. Shifting is done with a six-speed manual transmission.

Only the steering wheel is original
An air suspension system allows the driver to select three height settings from very low to very high. At the rear, the fenders have been flared by twelve centimeters and LED headlights at the front bring light into the darkness. In the interior, only the steering wheel remains from the original. All other parts have been redesigned by Mopar.
