Swiss specialist dealer wins bronze at Skill Competition

At the end of June, Suzuki Motor Corporation held the European "Service Skill Competition" in Saalfelden/Austria. Premtim Berisha, who qualified for the competition as Swiss champion, achieved an excellent result with third place.
All Europe represented
Against strong competition from all over Europe, the candidates demonstrated knowledge and work procedures at the highest level of quality for service work. According to Hanspeter Flückiger, Service Manager of Suzuki Automobile Schweiz AG, the focus was on quality and cleanliness under time pressure. Theoretical knowledge, handling of workshop literature as well as application of the SDTll Suzuki tester were further requirements for the practical work items.
Impressive performance
Andreas Hartmann, Training Manager of Suzuki Automobile Schweiz AG, accompanied Premtim Berisha during the competition and commented: "It was impressive how quickly and efficiently Mr. Berisha tackled the tasks. This involved service work but also finding hidden faults as well as diagnostics on the engine management system."
Swiss pre-selection
Beforehand, Suzuki Automobile Schweiz AG conducted a pre-selection of the technicians from the Swiss dealer network with a theory test. From these, 13 participants qualified for the Swiss elimination. Premtim Berisha prevailed over his Swiss competitors in the practical test at the Suzuki training center in Safenwil and thus punched his ticket to the European contest. Second place was taken by Daniel Uhr, Team Leader Technology at Emil Frey AG, Grüze Garage in Winterthur. Third place went to Peter Zbinden, technician at Emil Frey AG, Autocenter Bern, in Ostermundigen.
