Rolls-Royce, in a collaboration with Hermès, has put a unique Phantom on its wide rims. The Phantom Oribe was designed and hand-built by a team of Bespoke specialists at Goodwood and by Hermès in Paris.
Material experts and craft specialists
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO Rolls-Royce Motor Cars: "This interpretation of our flagship product is a milestone for Rolls-Royce. It is the result of an intense collaboration between Rolls-Royce and Hermès, where designers, material experts and craftsmen worked side by side to create a truly unique Phantom."
Personality and passions of the owner
The vehicle is intended to reflect the personality and passions of its owner, Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa. The two-tone exterior of the vehicle matches the characteristic green and cream glazes of antique Japanese Oribe ceramics, of which Yusaku Maezawa is a major collector.
Speaker surrounds made of wood
The colors continue harmoniously in the interior, realized through close collaboration between Hermès designers and Bespoke specialists at Goodwood.
The interior is predominantly made of leather from Hermès in Enea Green. This includes details such as the steering wheel touch points, handles, gear selector and rotary knobs for the climate settings. The speaker surrounds were made of wood.
Convincing cooperation of the best
Torsten Müller-Ötvös: "This majestic and tasteful Rolls-Royce Phantom shows what is possible when talented people from two of the world's most important luxury houses work closely with a far-sighted client like Yusaku Maezawa. It's a coming together of minds, methods, visions and skills to bring out the best."
