Rinspeed: Snap concept as a small fleet

In Rinspeed's SNAP concept, all components that are susceptible to wear and aging and all IT-related technology are banished to the electric car's chassis, which is called a "skateboard" and is thus "intelligent" and fully automated.

To achieve this goal, the startup company "Snap Motion" is about to be founded. The concept vehicle shown is not to remain a one-off, but is to be developed to series maturity in the future. In this context, the term series is initially defined as a small fleet that will provide proof of concept and be used worldwide. Parallel to the mechanical-electronic development of the vehicle, the ecosystem.

"Snap Motion" will be based on two mainstays. The Silicon Valley site south of San Francisco will take care of software aspects, while the central European site will deal with all hardware. This will combine the best of America and Europe
