Porsche: 911 Speedster with caravan

The original, the unadulterated, the manual transmission - for Volker Schiersch, all of this is what makes the open-top 911 so appealing: "It suits the age so wonderfully. After all, you've grown up with intermediate throttle, adjusting the carburetor, welding the body back together yourself for the vehicle inspection."
It all started with a Porsche 356C
Volker Schiersch's love of air-cooled cars began, as it does for so many, with a VW Standard. As a student, he then financed his first Porsche, a 356C with 75 hp, with side jobs. The driving experience with the rear engine and free of any servo assistance, he didn't want to miss it. Soon after came his first open-top. A 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster in red. Since then, the pure and unfiltered driving pleasure never left him.

And in order to always be fit, Volker Schiersch added a special detail to his Speedster: an original Porsche trailer hitch. To make the appearance of his vehicle perfect, he had the trailer painted in Porsche 980 silver metallic as part of a restoration - to match the Speedster. "However, we no longer go on long tours with the trailer attached. We prefer to stay up here on the North Sea coast and enjoy the peace and quiet," explains Volker Schiersch, referring to the 80 km/h limit with a trailer attached.
