Polestar design competition honors creative, design-oriented ideas that will lead electromobility into a more advanced and sustainable future. It includes a category for students and one for professional designers.
The 2020 competition received over 600 applications from all over the world. You can see some examples in the gallery.
Attractive prizes await the winners
What makes the global design competition, Motto Progressive, special is the support it receives from the Polestar design team. The shortlisted works receive guidance and feedback from Maximilian Missoni, the brand's leading designer and responsible for sustainability.
Special prizes awaited the winners: They flew either to Polestar's production facility in Chengdu, China, or to Polestar's corporate headquarters in Gothenburg to participate in the Design Exhibition.
Platform for designers around the world
This opportunity to promote the designers' work also caught the attention of Demna Gvasalia, Creative Director at Balenciaga, in 2020. The fashion brand integrated the designs into its virtual fashion show, the 2020 Afterworld Show.
